That's my workroom. And you guessed it, that is a very large picture of me, not sure why my mom wanted one that big, but as you can imagine it was taken a very long time ago. These are some of my pillows in all different phases of completion.
These two pillows are on the bed in my guest room, but most of the pillows I make I sell.
I like to pray over the pillows I make and find a word of encouragement from the Lord for those who get them. I tuck a little letter in the back of the pillow with those scriptures and inspiration I have received.
This was a pillow I called healing, the front and the back. If you want to read the word just click on the pictures and they will enlarge. This pillow is based, on Faith, Hope, and Love.
This too was a pillow that represents healing. It is called "Redeemed".
I love using vintage pieces in my pillows, mixing new machine embroidery with beautiful handwork from someone's talented hands.
These are a some of children's pillows I've made, I add a pocket on the front or back to be used for the tooth fairy.
You might have noticed the little tags I like to make to go on my pillows. It's a great way to leave a message or add a personal touch by adding a person's name.
I just love covered buttons and use them on the closure on the back of most of my pillows.
I suppose one of my most favorite embroidery pattern is the one that says "this is the Day the Lord has made" I have used it many times over and it just lends itself to such a cheerful pillow.
See how happy it made my friend!
This is a sample of one of the letters I put in the back of this pillow:
This pillow is named “This Day” and was designed for you, based on the scripture of Psalms 118:24. This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it.
May this pillow be a visible reminder that no matter what the day may hold the Lord is with you. May every day of your life be filled with joy. Joy is not the same as happiness, it is much deeper. Your joy is not from the things of this world or even from each other, but your joy comes from knowing the Lord and that His promises is to never leave you or forsake you. So in every day, Rejoice knowing that His plans for you are for good and not for evil for a future and a hope. Jer. 29:11
This pillow is my interpretation of the Scripture from Esther. " For such a time as this"
One of my friends bought this for her daughter, a special gift of love. This pillow is based on 1 Cor. 13.
When My niece got married last year she asked me to make her ring bearer's pillow.
This pillow is called Gift of God.
If you asked me what pillow is my absolute favorite. I would have a hard time choosing, but perhaps it would be this one. "Grace poured out", I love the strawberry teapot and the vintage embroidered piece, it just makes me smile when I see this pillow.
Tell me those high heels aren't the cutest thing! I say better on a pillow than on your feet! But maybe that's because at my age those things could be dangerous.
Made this pillow for my friend who is a writer, a scribe so to speak!
I love making pillows but lately have had a good deal of fun making bags as well, this lucky friend got both!
Now if your last name starts with "H" or if your first name starts with "H" then you might be able to talk me out of this one, it is still sitting on the shelf waiting for a home.
Who doesn't like pink and brown, those colors are too cute together.
A friend of mine had a great embroidered work shirt she had bought on a Montana vacation with her husband. She didn't wear the shirt any more but wanted it preserved as a special memory. What a fun way to keep that memory visible.
I love making pillows and bags and all kinds of crafts. Hope you have enjoyed stopping by and seeing a few of my creations. Sweet dreams I am off to enjoy my own pillow!

Your pillows are amazing! I really love the ones you have made with the vintage embroidered pieces.

I forgot to say that my favorite on is the one with the "grace poured out" tag. I am on a strict budget these days, otherwise I would be buying it for sure!
